Agent told 2 lies

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The agent said there was only one room left. The agent lied to me about the location of this hotel.

I wanted the Hampton Inn near I-81 on Davey Crockett Blvd in Morristown, TN. He made the reservation at the West Andrew Johnson Hampton Inn. I was charged $217.43 for the room but at check-out the desk clerk said the room paid directly with them would have been $140.10.

The clerk also said they had plenty of vacancies. I will never use this site again, and only did so because I was in a hurry and failed to notice I was not dealing directly with the hotel chain.A

Deceptive Practices

They seem to only repeat the same thing. I suggest you write to your state Attorney General.

I want to share my experience with HotelPlanner.com so others can make informed decisions. I called what I believed was the hotel directly, using the number listed on Google.

However, I later discovered that I had actually spoken with HotelPlanner.com, a third-party booking service. In my opinion, listing their number as the hotel’s contact is very deceptive. At no point during the call did the representative clearly identify themselves as working for a third party. I even asked if I was speaking to the hotel, and the response I received was that I had reached the reservations department.

That answer led me to believe I was talking directly to hotel staff. I feel totally deceived by HotelPlanner.com. I was quoted a rate of approximately $124.07 per night. I was not informed of any significant additional fees during the booking process.

These fees only became apparent later, which was surprising and frustrating. When I checked out of the hotel a day early, I was told I could not obtain a receipt because I had booked through a third party. I was shocked; I had no intention of booking through a third party. I checked out a day early, and Hilton indicated that the third party would not be charged for that night, but HotelPlanner.com refused to refund the money.

They kept it. This experience has caused problems for me, as I am now facing delays in being reimbursed by my company due to unclear and unexpected charges. It has disrupted our billing process and created an unnecessary burden.

In my opinion, this was a deceptive and misleading process, and I urge others to double-check that they are contacting the actual hotel directly when booking. I had no intention of doing business with HotelPlanner.com in the first place.

I clicked a phone number on what I thought was the actual hotel's booking site and was connected with Hotel Planner. Except I didn't know it was a third party site, and the man intimated that he was with the hotel I was calling.

I was quoted an exorbitant rate which I questioned and was told that was the only rate available.

I booked the room and subsequently found cheaper rates on line. I cannot cancel this reservation and I am extremely angry that I was deceived.

Never use Hotelplanner.com to book your hotel reservation, they have the worst business ethic I have ever experienced with any third party business. I found them to be very dismissive, extremely unprofessional, highly unethical, and just blatantly dishonest.

I made a reservation, purchased the refund protection offered at the time of the reservation, but they will not honor it. There was a total lack of accountability and a total lack of effort to assist me with my concern. Never use them ever for any reason, they simply have absolutely no integrity whatsoever!!!

As if it wasnt bad enough that I did not get any attempt at resolution, they kept deflecting me to no reply emails and equally unethical business partners that were equally unhelpful, The room reservation was canceled with no refund provided nor offered for a room that will not be used over 2 months in advance. The room can be re-booked

Impossible and misleading

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Booked a trip at way higher rates than expected and made a simple mistake upon booking. Despite having travel protection, I was charged in full, over 2000 dollars right out of my account, with a ZERO refund option.

Called, was promised a call back, didn't get it. Called, was promised a call back, didn't get it. On my FIFTH CALL, was finally given to a supervisor who said he'd send my information to the 'escalation team', but didn't hear back from anyone until I contacted the Better Business Bureau.

Ready to threaten legal action. Just an insanely stressful company to deal with, and still waiting for my refund as I write this.

Hotel Planner pretends they work for the hotel you are booking. They stole money right out of my bank account for an entire 9-night hotel stay, saying it is fully refundable.

They are refusing to refund! Phone numbers send you to India or hang up on you.

Do not use this company! I will follow up every day if I have to or sue them!

My husband made this reservation 5/26. It was also canceled on same day.

I told the gentleman at the reservation desk it was too much. He told me I will receive my refund in 10 days. So when I canceled this I made another reservation thru Expedia for only $206. On same day.

Everytime I call about my refund I get the runaround. They want to send me a voucher.

I canceled the SAME DAY. reservation

I could not believe they overcharged my card by $199.00. They signed me up for a protection plan I didn't ask for, which I was charged an additional fee of $49.00 for, a total overpayment of $250.00.

They charged my credit card immediately! My room was $100 a night, for 3 nights, plus $66.00 in taxes and fees, which should've been around $366. No one could explain the extra $199 plus $49 protection plan added automatically.

I'm still waiting for them to correct this matter. It smells like a scam to me.

I would give ZERO/HIDDEN FEES!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Beware! Hotelplanner.com lures with fake prices and then loads up on fees - rooms were advertised at $229 a night.

I booked two nights and the charge was $880! Refund Protection Plan will not help as they require medical information.

Even then, when it was sent, it wasn't enough and made me suspect. I was canceling 2 months in advance and they kept half my money!

I called what I thought was the direct line to Holiday Inn Express, Adrian Mi; come to find out it was a THIRD PARTY reservation line even though the reservation agent answered Holiday Inn Express! I made my reservation, Jesmae said she could merge my reservation, I thought I was all set.

I received my email confirmation with the IHG logo. Called the number back the next day found out it was a third party booking agent. Found the hotels direct number and found out that the hotel was overbooked and my reservation was cancelled. Called HotelPlanner back to get my refund, been fighting with them for weeks.

And if you do a chargeback with your bank, they stop talking to you. So you have to fight with them.
